Our Story

Rooted in Newport, built for the coast.

Coast Restaurant Group is a family-owned hospitality company based in Newport, Oregon. What started with a single waterfront restaurant has grown into three distinct brands — Clearwater Restaurant, The Barge Inn Tavern, and RISE Grab & Go — serving four locations across Newport and South Beach.

Each brand has its own personality, but they share the same kitchen leadership, the same standards for sourcing, and the same commitment to the community that raised them.

Tower-Garden Program

Grown on site. Served the same week.

Much of the produce that ends up on Coast plates is grown at our own tower gardens. Greens, herbs, and edible flowers move from garden to kitchen in a matter of days — cutting food miles to near zero and letting our chefs cook with ingredients at their peak.

The program feeds every brand: Clearwater's seasonal seafood plates, tavern dishes at The Barge Inn, RISE grab-and-go bowls, and our cross-brand catering menus.
